Back to Work

Wow! Thanks for the incredible response to our Swedish App Store launch. We could hardly believe our eyes when we saw the app in 4th place in the Swedish App Store, the traffic to our website spiking like a hockey stick and all 2,000 readers simply running out the door.
We’re now working hard at improving iZettle in line with your feedback. We’ve already had tonnes of great tips and crazy ideas on how we can make the service better, but we’re always looking for new ways of making your payments easier. So once again, please be in touch with your thoughts.
Something many people have asked about is the Facebook requirement for private accounts. The reason why we have it is very simple – getting to know our customers is key in keeping the service safe and secure. A Facebook account with a number of friends, in addition to a home address and a phone number, gives a good indication that a person really is who he or she claims to be. But just like with the iZettle service overall, we are still developing our sign-up process and we are looking at other options for personal identification.
Now, about the readers, we know you’re all very eager to lay your hands on one and we’re hoping to have news about more readers to share with you in September. In the meantime, don’t forget you can borrow your friend’s reader until you receive your very own one. Or simply use the app for settling small transactions between you and your friends.
We will be releasing updates and new features continuously during the beta so don’t forget to log on to your portal every now and then. You can also follow us on Facebook or Twitter to get your weekly doses of handy hints, tips and updates.
Until next time, The iZettle Team
PS. To all our users with business accounts – you can now choose your VAT settings (Swedish: momssats) after you log on to your portal.
