How iZettle handles your funds

Once you have successfully created your iZettle account, connected and verified your bank account, you are ready to start receiving payments.

If you choose to follow our standard deposit schedule, we'll pay out your funds within 1–2 business days of the transaction date. Your bank will then process the funds and deposit them in your account.
 

Good to know:
iZettle is obliged to perform additional security verification for the first 3 business days after creating your account Please be advised that we will therefore not make any deposits even if you have accepted payments and verified your bank account.

You can view your deposits and other account information any time under “Sales” > “Account statement” on my.izettle.com. Learn more about the Account statement feature here.

In addition, you’ll receive email notifications when deposits have been made.

Good to know:
- Deposits are not made on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.
- Bank processing times may vary and it can take a few business days for deposits to show up in your account. Please contact your bank for more information about their processing times.

 

Customising your deposit schedule

You have the flexibility to choose how often you’d like to receive deposits. Customise your deposit schedule to receive payments:

  • Daily (standard deposit schedule)
  • Weekly (your money is deposited to you the first bank day of the week)
  • Monthly (your money is deposited to you the first bank day of the month)

To set up your deposit schedule:

  • Sign in to your iZettle account on my.izettle.com
  • Click on your name in the top menu and go to “Settings”. Under “Account settings”, you can pick your deposit schedule of choice.

Good to know about scheduled deposits:
- Scheduled deposits in the beginning of a week or month can be affected by the above mentioned “Standard daily deposit schedule”.
E.g.: if you schedule a weekly deposit at the beginning of every week, transactions from the weekend prior will not have had enough time to clear and won’t be included in this deposit.

 

Deposit limits

Certain limits apply when it comes to how and when we payout funds. Outstanding payments are delivered in a second deposit the following business day.

For customers with an iZettle business account

Chip and PIN (incl. contactless)
A maximum of £500,000 can be deposited per day.

Chip & signature
A maximum of £200,000 can be deposited per day.

Magnetic stripe & signature
A maximum of £200,000 can be deposited per day.

For customers with a private iZettle account
*The option to register for individual private iZettle accounts was removed in March 2017.
This information applies to existing customers only. The total card payment limit for private iZettle accounts is £4,000 per 12 months.

Chip and PIN (incl. contactless)
A maximum of £1,000 can be deposited per day. Any outstanding payments are delivered in a second deposit the following business day.

Chip & signature
A maximum of £1,000 can be deposited per day. All outstanding  payments are delivered in a second deposit the following business day.

Magnetic stripe & signature
A maximum of £100 can be deposited per day. All outstanding payments are delivered in a second deposit the following business day.
