Import products from another e-commerce platform

If you're moving to iZettle E-commerce from another e-commerce platform, or if you simply want to use iZettle's POS, you can import your products to iZettle. Please note that inventory and sales data won't be imported to your iZettle account from your e-commerce platform.

We currently support product imports from the following e-commerce platforms: 

  • Shopify
  • Tictail

Note: This is an import, meaning that the products are imported in their current state. Any changes or updates made to your products in Shopify or Tictail after the import won't be reflected in the imported products. 

You can perform as many imports as you want, there's no limit. Any changes made to already existing products in your iZettle product library will be updated according to the latest import.

How to import your products

Start the product import by visiting your iZettle account on my.izettle.com, go to Products, click on Import and then choose the e-commerce provider you want to import from.



Step 1 - Connect to your e-commerce platform

  • Sign into my.izettle.com and go to “Products”. 
  • Click on "Import" and select your e-commerce provider.
  • Enter your store name. 

If you’re importing from Shopify 
You'll be redirected to Shopify, where you're prompted to sign in and allow iZettle access to your account.
Once you've signed in to your Shopify account, iZettle will remain signed in. So, the next time you want to import products, you're ready.
We're only able to import eight pictures per product. If you have more, they won't be imported.

If you’re importing from Tictail 
If you are importing from Tictail, you need to sign into your Tictail store, go to the settings and set your store to “Public”.

You can import products from both Shopify and Tictail, simply do two different imports.

Step 2 - Start importing your products

  • If you already have a product library with iZettle, you’ll be asked if you want to add products and changes to your current product library or replace it entirely. 
  • Click “Start import”.
  • While your products are being imported, you can still use your account on my.izettle.com. You'll be notified when the import is complete.
  • If you change your mind, you can cancel or undo the entire import. However, if you have made manual changes to your products during the import, those changes will also be undone. 

Note: Once your products are imported, they’ll automatically be set to visible in your iZettle online store. If you change your mind, you can cancel or undo the entire import. If you’ve made manual changes to your products during the import, those changes will be undone as well. 

Troubleshooting 

If an import fails from your Shopify account, make sure you have the iZettle product importer app installed on your Shopify account. If you're importing from Tictail, make sure your Tictail account is set to public.
If the information for any of the products has an unknown format, we'll try to solve it automatically. If we're unable to, we'll complete the import and list the ones we were unable to import.
