This is always the tricky part, and if you’re short on cash it can be really tough. But thanks to social media and the power of word of mouth, it doesn’t need to be expensive. All you need is a bit of creativity and dedication to your fan base and you’re good to go! 

Consider social media

Social media is a great way to reach a lot of people in a cost effective manner.  It’s free to set up and it’s an easy way to create plenty of engagement. Is it too good to be true? It depends. Social media is a time consuming activity that needs constant attention. This means you need to be involved in the conversation and you may even need to be active during non-working hours. But the hard work pays off: if you handle your social media accounts with care, it will help you market your brand, drive sales and create a long-term relationship with your customers. 

Use the power of word-of– mouth
Word-of-mouth is probably one of the most used terms in marketing. And believe it or not – it’s a tool that should be embraced with enthusiasm if you’ve got a great product or service. As consumers share both great and negative experiences of a brand, it’s important to make sure that all parts of your business is consistent with your brand idea. Think of all the different ways that your customer experiences your company – first impression, customer support, packaging, product returns and so on – and consider how you can increase positive buzz around all of them. People love to talk – so make sure you have great things for them to talk about. 

Email Marketing 
Newsletters and other email marketing are inexpensive ways of creating customer loyalty and increasing repeat business. It’s a great tool that works for most types of businesses and is an excellent way to share important information with your customers. For example, if you’re having a flash sale, a VIP night, or restocking a popular item in your store. It’s easy to get started and to maintain.
